Heres what a ride down Esplanade, the street in Nola our house is off of, looks like. Starting in Treme, head South and in about five minutes you are at the French Market. Head North and in even less time you are in City Park/Bayou St. John. And the ride is absolutely lovely the whole way down the historic, picturesque Esplanade. Thanks Catherine Roche-Wallace for the riding-video! (Thats me up front wearing the bike chains, haha!) Bikes can take you where cars cant with oh so much more freedom. Deepest gratitude and love to our awesome bike-donor friends-family who are making it possible for the our house guests to enjoy all that the best neighborhoods of New Orleans have to offer without worrying-about/paying-for parking!!! Tammy Johnson, Heatherly Chenet, and Rebecca Lewis, come visit and give your wheels a spin in their new home! Pavlos Nelson, Seraphim, and I, are making great use of them, riding along the Mississippi river levee, from awesome neighborhood to neighborhood, through Jackson square, along with our recent beloved house guests Alex Thomas and Monika Fischer who got lost in a forgotten jungle identifying mushrooms in city park ;-) Come enjoy the ride!
