Heres what is on my mind. I have already seen the posts about keeping Christ in Christmas by only saying Merry Christmas. I want to know how many people really believe that if they say Happy Holidays, it means they love Jesus less? I grew up in Des Moines in a school of over 2000 kids. A lot of my friends were Jewish among other religions. We said Happy Holidays or Happy Hanukkah or Merry Christmas all thru the years. Then somehow it became bad to say that. Here is my opinion on this. If someone wishes me a Happy Holidays in a sincere and well wishing manner, then I consider myself lucky. I dont think they are any less religious or more religious. Basically someone just wished me a great week or weekend or whatever. I will take that. I will spread that good cheer around as much as I can. Theres too much hatefulness and disconnection in the world today so I am personally choosing love and compassion. Wish me whatever you feel like, if its genuine and happy my heart will feel blessed. I think Jesus is OK with that.
