Heres what we know about my Dad. He has congestive heart failure with blockage and/or damage to his heart. He will be transferred to Madigan in Tacoma most likely tomorrow so they can do the angiogram sooner than the originally scheduled Thursday to see the extent of blockage and/or damage. From the test, they can determine if he needs stents, angioplasty or bypass surgery. Ive heard from many people saying their parent or grandparent had congestive heart failure or have had heart surgery, the procedure is done million times a day or that medicine/technology has come a long way and all will go well. I do take comfort in this and appreciate all the information and well wishes. But he is my dad. Since we lost our mom 18 years ago, our dad is the foundation of our family. Im scared and sad. Continue to send prayers and good thoughts for my dad and for our family. Lastly, I have to say a huge Thank You to all is doctors. Naval Base Bremerton has an amazing team of doctors and nurses. They have been so good to my dad and really take time to explain everything to him and to his family.
