Heres whats on my mind. Ive been really sick since last Wednesday. Painfully so. I nearly fainted and was taken to the E.R. because this flu is really vicious. But heres the thing. I am able to get medicine to alleviate the pain and rest to get better. I am able to rest on a warm, soft bed, after seeing a concerned and qualified doctor. I am cared for by a wonderful husband and son. My two older ones stay in touch with me and how Im doing along with dear friends. I am so blessed. I cannot help but think of those who dont have those things. Ebola ravages Africa and I know children, small ones, have gone without those things. Women and children are forced to try to cope with and survive in war torn countries, trying to escape violence. Our world is filled with poor who go without and we have so much. I have to pray for them because suddenly my heart aches for them, and I dont even know their names or faces. I just know they are dealing with much harsher realities than I am. So I pray for them, hope others do as well and hope our battled world will somehow stop the pain of those who are the least among us. I feel that prayer is powerful in ways I dont even understand, but trust. I am so grateful. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for such immeasurable blessings. Thank you for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank you for so much. Please bless the ones who are in such need of just the very basics of life. In Jesus name. Amen.
