Here’s an odd story. It’s odd, but true. The pagan god - TopicsExpress

Here’s an odd story. It’s odd, but true. The pagan god Tammuz had died and the earth was in winter. To bring life back to the earth the people marked their heads with ashes; wept for Tammuz; and gave up something for him. Forty days later the fertility goddess Ēostre travelled across the world in her sun chariot. She dropped an egg on the earth and it hatched a rabbit; which ran across the globe throwing out eggs and bringing the world back to life in the spring. What an odd story, huh? I mean – why would anybody celebrate such stuff? Odder still is that the bible says people would be doing these things in the church the last days; albeit under another pretense. “Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORDs house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz. Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these.” (Ezekiel 8:14-15)
