Here’s my obligatory Rex Ryan status. Judge me for being sentimental if you want, but thats who I am and I need to get some things off my chest… I’ve been a sports fan for 17 years and I’ve never loved a coach more than Rex. The classic players’ coach, who demonstrated so much PASSION for winning and his players. Every Jets player would run through a brick wall for you, and that rubbed off on the fans! You exhibited all the great qualities in a human being. You were LOYAL, GENUINE, HARD-WORKING and most importantly you STAYED REAL and never backed down from anybody. Thank you for those 2 AFC Championship appearances with friggin MARK SANCHEZ as QB. Those 4 playoff wins are the greatest I’ve witnessed as a fan, and the Jets seized the underdog mentality because of you. Obviously every coach has their flaws (your in-game management was questionable, you were a subpar talent evaluator), but your desire to make the Jets a successful franchise and your dedication was second to none. I’m sorry the Jets organization did you dirty the past couple years. You were given terrible personnel to work with and it wasn’t your fault. I truly hope you find success and one day win a Super Bowl b/c you deserve it!!! I’ll miss you, man. Rex Ryan, forever a New York Jet.
