Here’s the most recent addition to the Ireland clan. We saw him online at the Young-Williams website yesterday afternoon after church, dropped what we were doing, drove to the adoption center on Division Street, fell in love with this little six pound snuggler and brought him home. He was a stray, somebody picked him up, couldn’t find the owner and surrendered him to the center. He’s got a few little issues, but they’re going to address those when we bring him back in tomorrow–teeth cleaning primarily and chipping. He is skinny as a rail, but that will change! He’s already very much at home and, as I type, sleeping peacefully on Carole’s lap! He’s about 5 years old and has the sweetest little temperament. Our friends, Tom and Glenda Henry came over for dinner last night and got to meet him. He immediately took to Glenda’s lap, snuggled with Tom and slept on his pillow under the window in the kitchen while we ate. His name is Andy and he’s a wonderful addition to our Christmas!
