Here’s what has happened to the combined population of the three Baltic states since 1992, their first full year of independence from the Soviet Union and Moscow. In not a single year since 1992 has there been any population growth: every single year has seen a decline of one sort or another............................................ So, the next time you hear something aobut how “the Baltics” justify this or that conservative economic policy keep in mind that, over the past two decades, their populations have collapsed at a historically unprecedented rate.
