Herman Cake with Apples, Raisins & Dates 1C. Herman Starter 1 C. Flour 1/2 C. Sugar 1/4 tsp. Salt 1 Stick Butter, melted 1/4 C. Milk 1 Egg 1 tsp Vanilla 1 tsp Baking Powder 1 tsp Cinnamon 1 C. Raisins 8 oz. Box Chopped Dates 2 - 15 oz cans Fried Apples with cinnamon Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients together. Pour into a greased & floured cake pan. Bake for 1 hour. Remove from oven & pour Sweet Apple Glaze ( recipe follows) over top of cake while cake is still warm. Serve warm with Caramel Ice Cream. Sweet Apple Glaze 2/3 C. Powdered Sugar 1/4 tsp Cinnamon 2 Tbsp. Apple juice With a wire whisk mix all ingredients together. Pour over cake as directed.
