Hes had a crappy life so far :( PLEASE SHARE FOR A NEW AND BETTER FAMILY! 5 year old Gambit has no clue why his people brought him to sit in a cramped cage at Brooklyn ACC. What he does know is that his hips hurt him and sitting in that crate can’t be making him feel any better. What we learn from Gambit’s owner is that he kept him outside most of the time and that the poor dog didn’t seem to like it—his owner complained Gambit would scratch at the wall, dig holes. From all those owner notes, its clear that Gambit has not had the easiest of lives. And when he developed hip dysplasia, he must have been in agony. But throughtout what was likely a painful, difficult medical, ACC staff makes a note of pointing out that “Gambit appears to be a stoic dog”. ACC has decided that they can’t do anything for Gambit so they’ve put him on tomorrow’s euthanasia list. Tonight, Gambit needs an experienced dog owner who understands that this very handsome guy has been wanting to really “belong” in a home, that he’s been looking at his humans to make the pain go away, that he just wants to be a regular dog. If you’re that special person, step up to foster or adopt Gambit. And if you can’t, then pledge to rescues to offset what will no doubt be a hefty vet bill.
