Hey All, With all this shore tour talk i thought i would post this out there, We are needing 5 more people to be able to go on this tour Le Lagon, Another Day in Paradise Fancy a relaxing day in Port Vila? Need to escape the rush of the city, the local humidity and the crowded streets of the capital?? Well, dear cruisers, we have put up the perfect package for you!!!Our experimented driver/guide will pick you up at the terminal and drive you to the local markets – your chance to sample tropical fruits and other island style delicacies. The tour then continues to the old French quarter of Port Vila so you can sight old colonial houses, etc…Next go to the Reserve Bank lookout from where you have a view over the whole city of Port Vila and small offshore islets like Iririki and Ifira. Visit Mele village and get a real feel of the way of life of the locals- our guide will tell you more about the way traditional houses are built and also more about the importance of kava drinking in Vanuatu. Reboarding your van, you will be transported all the way to the famous Tanna coffee factory where you will be able to sample probably the best coffee in the whole Pacific!!!! There will also be chances to taste some local pastries with your cuppa. Next stop is the Hideaway souvenir markets right on the beach- View the black sand beach of Mele and explore the stalls in search for the perfect souvenir for your family or friends. After enjoying some bargain shopping, it’s time to kick off to the world famous Warwick Le Lagon Resort- Your adventure starts with a welcoming cocktail (fruit juice cocktail), a flower head band to make you feel special on arrival and entertainments (String band, 2 pieces band, etc…). You will be guided towards the pool grill restaurant for a fresh and delicious lunch (main course) with view over the lagoon (your choice of meal is indicated below). After lunch (or even before if you wish!!) you are free to utilize the resort facilities such as their 3 levels pool, their water activities (stand up paddle, kayaks, and hobby 4 catamarans), the spa pool, the pool bar, etc… why not treat yourself to a pampering body massage at Oasis Spa (extra)??? ERakor Island is just 10 mn away on a kayak from Le Lagon, so why not also take the advantage to visit that litle piece of paraside while you are at Le lagon? Your guide/driver will pick you up at the end of the day (4pm) to drive you back to the ship terminal (only a 5mn drive) after a unique cultural and cuisine experience for the young and old.
