Hey. Apologies in advance but I heard this a few days ago from a pastor n I was shocked he had the balls 2 say this about some ladies out there. PS: obviously hes not talking bout all women. Its a bit long, but hang in there. Also, were addressing this particular issue. So no complaining about some of mens issues right now. Well do that another time . This is what mark driscoll had to say: Some of u women have learnt that volume is ur great ally...ladies, if u disrespect ur husband (especially in front of other people) u put him in a lose-lose situation. Its like a hostage scenario. If u disrespect him, here r his choices: 1)he responds to u n then hes labelled a bully and mean n either u shout and embarrass him or cry and humiliate him. He thinks to himself I cant beat this woman. 2)Or he says ok, Im just gonna take it. N then hes labelled a wuss. Its a lose-lose. A man cant win an argument with a disrespectful wife...r u a nag? U just keep pushing, demanding. R u quarrelsome?n he just keeps quiet..or if he has to talk to u, he has to emotionally prepare himself like a soldier heading off to war? Ur just an emotional hurricane n he knows man, if Im gonna bring up anything I gotta pick my battles carefully; I need to come in with a battle plan; this is gonna be a long, drawn out war. R u loud? See, some women just try this tactic of volume. Im gonna raise my voice, Im gonna yell, Im gonna scream, Im gonna threaten. Coz he cant do that. If he raises his voice, then hes being mean. N its a trick, coz I won. How many of u women r emotionally manipulative? As soon as u start losing an argument, u start crying. U cry n say oh he hurt my feelings. U just changed the subject. That was brilliant, amazing! He was talking about the sin in ur life n u just changed the subject and complained about his recognition of the sin in ur life. Uve just changed the subject from ur sin to how hes just made u feel. Brilliant! U cry, get emotional, freak out. Coz u know he wont know what to do. All of a sudden hes like oh my gosh, shes crying, I cant cry and use her trick. Im not saying u women can never be heard or hurt. But how do u speak?
