Hey Everyone!!! I have lots of exciting things to speak about over the next few weeks and intend on posting about a different topic every week. If there is anything anyone would like me to talk about just send me a message and I can cover that too . So here goes with the first post ......... THE IMPORTANCE OF FOOD PREP!! I believe that whatever your goal in the gym is your nutrition and eating habits need to match this. There is no point in having the correct training plan in place if food isnt lined up with it! I feel this is where alot of people regularly fall down which means they dont see the results they should! Everyone is busy with work, family, school runs, the gym and a million other things but this should not be an excuse to make bad choices. There isnt room for grabbing a sandwich on the go, picking up a McDonalds or throwing a ready meal in the microwave - this is where the importance of food preparation comes in. Personally I plan about a week of food at a time and usually cook a couple of times a week in bulk. In order to do this you need to decide what you want to eat all week, buy the raw ingredients and then cook it all. I now know alot of you will think I dont have time for this but in the long run it will save you time! Also if youre serious about achieving your goals then you will make time! It also eliminates the prospect of making bad choices on the go. So my advice to you would be to plan out meals for a week, do your shopping and either cook a few days at a time or cook for the week and freeze it. By taking the freeze option this means all you have to do is take out the food the night before to let it defrost! Its really that simple! Buy plastic containers to keep your meals in or if youre really serious invest in a 6 pack bag! I would be lost without my 6 pack and take this bag everywhere with me! On a daily basis I eat between 3-4 meals aswell as snacks and shakes. It has compartments for my shakes, three meals as well as snacks and supplements. What more could you want? Invest your time in food prep! Plan your food in advance! Eliminate bad choices! You will be amazed how much this can affect your progress! Train Hard, Eat Clean, Stay Focused & Grow.
