Hey Everyone, I rode endurance years ago (AERC 7039) so feel qualified to post and lurk on this site. ;) Anyway, I was wondering if gastric ulcers could change a horses personality. I have a wonderful 14 yr old Standardbred gelding, he was on the track for 4 yrs then used for speed racking and trail riding. The past 6 months hes become very spooky and nervous. On the ground and under saddle. This horse was never spooky, but now hes turned into the cowardly lion or something! CBC/ profile/ opthalmic exam, physical exam, back, etc etc are all completely normal. Havent had him scoped but were thinking possibly ulcers. What do you all think?
