Hey Everyone! I want to let you guys know about a project the MSSS and some other student groups are taking on. We are trying to get your degree parchments to indicate your programs/specializations/majors, because right now they are super generic. For those of you who dont know, when you get your degree, it will only say Bachelor of Arts + honours if applicable. It will NOT indicate your major. Or your combined majors. So an Economics degree looks the same as a Fine Arts degree, which looks the same as a History degree, or a Psych degree. This goes beyond just Arts degrees, and impacts the majority of undergrads. We have an issue with this. After years of working towards something, we want your degree to reflect that. Other schools already do this. We are working towards meeting with the Senate to get them to reconsider this, but the only way it will even be looked at, is if we have a very strong student backing. Ive attached our petition here.
