Hey Everyone, I wanted to share a personal achievement and also explain how important these meetups are to me. I adopted Morgan almost 2 years ago. I first fostered him on behalf of the Canadian Chihuahua Rescue and Transport when he was taken in a scared puppy mill rescue. Hes been coming to these meetups since I first got him and everyone has been so supportive of him and his journey. As a puppymill dog, he was kept for breeding purposes and never taught any life skills. I have worked very hard teaching him how to become a companion, at first in the aim that he would be adopted by someone else, but then as my very own. Those who have known him for some time, know what an improvement he continues to make. At yesterdays event was the first time in the 2 years that I have had him that he has tried playing with another dog. PLAYING! Imagine that. I was so proud of him, I took a video and shared it with my dog trainer and she is so proud of him and the work weve been doing to get him here. He still has a ways to go to blossom into the amazing, well adjusted dog I know is hidden in there so for me, these meetups are his lifeblood. Sorry to get so dramatic but just wanted to let everyone know how much I have invested in making this work!
