Hey Everyone...Last year I was having trouble signing into my email account, so I called AOL and I spoke to a guy who took over my computer and showed me why my computer was not working. I paid him a couple hundred dollars to fix both of my computers because I thought he was with AOL. Well, he called again tonight. He said that his company monitors computers of the clients who have purchased their protection, and they are finding a lot of spam emails sent from my email account. They also said that my IP address is public for anyone to post things that could get me in trouble if used unlawfully. He wanted 349 dollars to further protect my computer. Now I am computer illiterate, and he was pretty convincing when he showed me things on my compter which indicatied that my computer had been hacked. I did not give him any money. He said his company is Itechacharya. Has anyone heard of this company? I went online and I am getting a mixed bag of opinions about them. If anyone out there knows computers, or has had any dealing with something like this, could you please advise me on what to do? Thanks so much.
