Hey Everyone its Savannah! I know I havent posted on this page for awhile and Im sorry! Little man has had me very busy! Heres currently what he has going on! Ember will be 8 weeks (2 months) 1 week 6 days adjusted on Wednesday. For those of you who are confused his actual age is 8 weeks but he is only suppose to be 1 week and 6 days old. We use the adjusted measurement when speaking to his doctors and therapist so they know where he is suppose to be at developmentally. Ember has put on a little weight and grown! He was 3 13 when born and is now 5 10. He was 16 3/4 inches long when born and is now 19 3/4 inches long! With him getting longer like he is its harder for him to put on weight. We have changed his supplement and increased the amount to help him gain calories which in turn should help him put on a little weight. Embers left leg is still stiff and not reacting quite like it should. He has a physical therapy evaluation on Thursday to see what they can do to help his leg. Overall he is doing amazing!! He is already trying to hold his bottle, roll over, and he holds his head up a lot! He sometimes gets super excited and forgets to breath when he eats though. He absolutely hates dirty diapers and will be sure that you know it! He is starting to grab for things and absolutely loves to give out kisses! As many people have asked me When do you think you will go back to work? The real answer to that is I dont know. I have talked to Embers doctors about this and they agree that he needs a lot off attention and help right now. They couldnt tell me when he will stable enough for me to go back. Many people compare Ember to other babies that were born around the same time as he was. The other babies that where born around that time where ready to be born. Ember had to be taken early because he wasnt getting enough oxygen and was in a lot of fetal distress. Every my body would contract it would cause his heart to stop. Thats why they did the emergency c-section. Hes not doing terrible but he still has a little ways to go to get back up to where he is suppose to be .
