Hey F/B buds. We’ve got an exciting weekend planned July 27th and 28th. Saturday is the 3rd Annual Taste of WVON. It’s our free annual summer fest with 80 restaurants and retailers and an incredible line up of talent that includes Low Rider (founding members of War), Enchantment, Comedian Reggie Reg, Blues Legend Nellie “Tiger” Travis Yemi Marie and gospel megastar, Kim Stratton. Go to wvon for all the details. On Sunday, everybody should meet in Millennium Park for a free concert featuring my favorite singer of all time, (who just happened to be from Chicago). Chaka Khan is coming home to celebrate her 40th Anniversary in the music business. WVON was very instrumental in the early days of her music career and it would be awesome if Millennium Park was filled to capacity with its biggest crowd ever for our First Lady of Soul. Chaka Khan….Chaka Khan… It’s an entire weekend of fun free stuff! Don’t’ you love Chicago in the summer?
