Hey FB friends: I know we ask for a lot, but I have one small request tonight. There is a wonderful organization that has helped us, as well as many other families fighting this battle. aTeam Ministries provides spiritual, emotional and financial support to these families. They offer housing for families who have to stay in Birmingham for extended periods of time, and they have a weekly prayer time. Weve received meals while at the hospital from some of their volunteers, and Angel just got a beautiful blanket and pillowcase from one of the organizations board members. aTeam Ministries was also responsible for the awesome Alabama tickets to the Florida Atlantic game that Angel and I thoroughly enjoyed. More importantly, they organize the Go Gold campaign during September; many football fields had beautiful gold ribbons painted somewhere on the field in recognition of childhood cancer awareness month, thanks to Andy Thrower and aTeam Ministries.
