Hey Folks, Political Post here, ignore away ;) Hating Rick Perrys politics is not the same thing as Supporting Rosemary Lehmburgs corruption. She is the Austin DA, and was arrested for a DUI with an open bottle of Vodka in her car. Shes on video during her arrest threatening the officers, being generally violent, and demanding that the Chief of Police come down and wash her DUI away. She knows that this arrest will hurt her political career. The thing is, that it didnt. Shes still the DA. Rick Perry demanded her resignation (as is appropriate and warranted), to which she refused to step down. Perry then put pressure on the agency by threatening to with hold her Agencys Public Integrity funding (7.5 million dollars). In retaliation, Lehmburg convened a Grand Jury who have now Indicted Perry on two felony charges related to abuse of power. And yet, it is within Perrys Constitutional Authority to withhold funding to any agency, and his call for her resignation is appropriate.
