Hey Fox Troopers, We are now in week 5! Boy is time just flying by! This week the Soldiers will be conducting Advanced Rifle Marksmanship (ARM). Today they will be in the classroom, and for much of the rest of the week they’ll be going to various ranges. I’ll be taking pictures of course. On Friday they’ll be learning Combatives. This is basically hand to hand combat, and they’ll be taught how to overcome the enemy in the event they get into a struggle. Yesterday following the Soldier’s phone calls home I began receiving HBL flight itineraries, so good job there! Some of you sent me the flight dates and times for approval before making the purchase and that’s perfectly fine. When emailing the itineraries to us, please put your Soldiers rank and name in the subject field. Also, if you would like a confirmation email from me that your itinerary has been received and approved, forward it to me instead of having Expedia or Orbitz, for example, emailing it directly to me. If that happens, I won’t have your email address. Once we receive your Soldiers itinerary, we’ll print it and provide your Soldier with a copy. You can mail a copy to him if you like, but it’s not necessary. The mail is flowing in nicely now, so once again, great job people! The backlog which was cause by the government shut down has finally been sorted and distributed to the Soldiers, so they should have received all of your letters by now. That’s all for now!
