Hey Guys.....Just finished at Catalyst talking about Boundaries For Leaders. So many of the comments and discussion afterwards were about the control freak leader. Such a paradox.....neuroscience shows that our brains love control! We perform best when we are totally in control of what we are responsible for. The problem comes when leaders try to control the people under them instead of empower them to take control of themselves. Same thing with parents. So the takeaway is twofold: if youre a leader, empower people to take control of what you have entrusted to them. Second, with the leaders that youre under talk to them about what they want you to accomplish and how to give you freedom within the right parameters to do it. Then do it well. Cheers, Henry
