Hey Heather Goetjen and West Jet! I just returned from a visit with my horse at our Stable and wanted to share a conversation I had with a fellow horse owner. They were in Mexico for the holidays and her youngest daughter became seriously ill with a staph infection. The doctors in Mexico consulted with the Calgary Childrens Hospital and they decided to get her back to Calgary as fast as possible. They flew to Mexico with Air Canada and contacted them to change their flights and get her home. Air Canada said, Nope, you need to buy new tickets. It became clear that Air Canada would not assist them. They forfeited their Air Canada tickets and called West Jet. Thank God West Jet didnt even hesitate. They stepped up and got the family home. They went directly to our amazing Childrens Hospital who was waiting for them and had her in treatment within 15 minutes. She is doing well. THANK-YOU and your Team mates for being there for people in distress! Air Canada burned me 13 years ago when my Grandson had a brain hemorrhage and I was trying to get from Toronto to Calgary to be with him and my daughter... it cost them a loyal customer. West Jet has won many loyal customers with stories like this. West Jet is a company that gets it!
