Hey! I just wanted to give you all an update. While I was originally pursuing a religious community, I have revisited some other forms of religious life and taken more interest in being a hermit. As I have been reading about diocesan hermits, I can see the unique, yet common, way of living out this particular vocation. I am under no illusions this will be easy and I know I dont ever have to seek recognition here in the Archdiocese (though that would be fantastic if this is my calling), but I owe it to myself to stop trying to be someone Im not. Ill be meeting soon with my spiritual director and the Archdioceses Vocations Director for further guidance. Its funny because I think all involved who know me can see me leading a religious life, but none of us could have predicted the form it would take! So, I just ask for your prayers as I begin to develop and live a rule of life and find my rhythm, so to speak. Thanks in advance!
