Hey Leakies, your community here needs your interactions on the page, when you get the chance, stop by and support others. One anonymous Leaky is in need of some encouragement and support due to issues with mastitis and being encouraged to stop breastfeeding: My daughter is 11 and a half months and I have breastfeed her up to now. I had mastitis 2 weeks ago and now again this week (worse than the first time). My nipple is also so broken and sore that I cant feed her at all. The doctor said if I get it again shes worried Ill get an apses which will have to be drained surgically. And thats apparently very sore and painful. So she suggests I stop. Its just so difficult to get my mind around and my heart just breaks at the thought. And nobody understands this. I dont know what to do anymore. I want to carry on breastfeeding but at the moment in in so much pain and will have to wait for my mastitis to completely clear up and my nipple to heal. But everyone is warning me against it.
