Hey Long Island! Let’s see how the power of social media works! Please join me in sharing this. I have had a rough year of unemployment and intense emotional growth and when I see a story that a dear friend shared with me involving his daughter fighting two different rare kinds of cancer… my year was easy. Shortly after Brittany Rose’s 25th birthday she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a rare blood cancer that affects the lymphatic system. After 4 months of vigorous chemotherapy treatment she received more disturbing news that she also has Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a second type lymphatic system cancer. Due to the extremely rare duel diagnosis, Brittany is currently battling both of these cancers by receiving intense chemotherapy, radiation and a bone marrow transplant. There is a benefit in her honor to help with the medical costs. Brittany will be donating a portion of the proceeds to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to benefit other cancer patients. The event will be held at Villa Lombardis at 877 Main Street in Holbrook on January 16, 2015 from 7pm – 11pm. Tickets to this event can be purchased now to secure the hall for the evening at testaverdefund.org - click on the events link to Brittany’s flyer. It will have a casino night theme and offer raffle drawings. If you can offer items to be raffled or donate a little or a lot it will make a difference! Peace and love!
