Hey! My name is Lainy and I will be attending Ottawa U in the fall for a joint honours in sociology and communications, so excited! I live in the small town of Renfrew about an hour from Ottawa. I am an active member of my community and am involved with Relay for Life this is my third year as a chair committee member, hoping to join at ottawa too! I love fundraising and volunteering and have been on student council all of high school. I am a world traveller and have been to Cuba 4 times, Spain, Gibraltar, Jamaica, panama and the most recent was Kenya to build a school this past march break. Since returning I have raised almost $800 for Free the Children in 2 months, all towards helping children in underdeveloped countries get an education. I have 2 sets of parents and am 1 of 4 kids; a 7 year old sister and 4 year old brother with my mom and step dad and a 4 year old sister with my dad and stepmom. Love being a big sister! Love the outdoors, going in adventures, art, tea, netflix, authentic food, all types of music, travel, and friends! I believe that if you set your mind to it you can be the change!
