Hey Office Depot Get your inventory system straightened out. I went to your Rockford, IL store today and picked a new office chair. Told the helper pack it up Ill take it. Him: Ok we have 2 in stock, Ill get it for ya (eager fella)... comes back 5 minutes later... Yeahhhhh... so we dont have any (so much for 2 in stock)... but our Machesney Park, IL store has 3... Ok so since 2 means 1 (display) 3 must mean 1 display and one in a box right? We get to the MP store and check out while someone gets it from the back (we were on a TIGHT schedule, Had to pick up the kids from school a 25 minute drive away...in 30 minutes) The lovely cashier (or teammate or whatever you call your staff) said he has it in back and you can pull around front and we will put it right in that beautiful 2004 GMC Envoy of yours. FANTASTIC I think, I may not have to leave my kids wondering where their parents are after all. Minutes later, the gentleman fetcher came to the car with the display model... yeah we dont have any, but I can give you a discount... GRRRRRRRRRRRRR I tore at my shirt Hulk style but think I need to work on my lats or something because it didnt rip... anyway I asked for my money back because I didnt have time to mess with things (the wide eyed innocent children and whatnot). Grabbed my refund and made like Dick Trickle (RIP) through the back roads of Winnebago and Boone counties. Barely getting my adorable babies (ok Im overselling that) from the clutches of the educational system. (I made the 25 min trip in 20, 1 minute to spare). The moral of the story, 1 have your associates CHECK THE FRIGGING INVENTORY BEFORE SENDING PEOPLE ON A 1 HOUR ROUND TRIP. Also make your inventory system SOMEWHAT accurate. Also I found an equivalent chair on Amazon for $40 less and Ill probably have it sooner.
