Hey Oiler fans! Here is my walking list continued: 1) the walk should be led by KevinRingsLowe - if you dont know why you will never know 2)every goalie scout in the organization (last Legit Oiler developed goalie was Fuhr-1983ish.....how is this possible. I cant believe Im saying this but they should pay the Canadians(and I hate the HABs) , Sharks, Ducks, or Canuck to develop a goalie for them. The least that could be done is have a goalie scout in Finland that has a record of finding goalie in this magical goalie land. 3) all the other scouts who have worked with the team on drafting players from round 2-5 for the past decade.........How can an organization be this bad at drafting. My mothers idea of interviewing the parents to determine the character and if the kid has sandpaper in his blood makes more sense than the statistical analysis that Oilers have been using. 4) Anyone who thought getting rid of Pat Burns(yes I realize he is dead) and Krueger... Just imagine if those two had been allowed the freedom to coach the way they can coach. The Oilers would have a technical understanding of positional play, a level of intensity that was balanced with skill and sandpaper but most importantly team first mentality. AKA the Calgary Flames ....... I cant believe I said this! Just look at what Jay Feaster did in three years: changed the farm system, scouting system, evaluation, balanced analytics, and with fiscal responsibility. Bob Hartley could only coach older players with his style.....well I think not. The team come to play most games, if they dont score the other team still feels the effect of a hard working team. Can the same be said of the Oilers? What is the identity of the Oilers seven years into a rebuild?
