This event may be of interest to some of you: The Faculty of Medicines Interprofessional Global Health Course is hosting an exclusive documentary screening and meet-n-greet with Emmy-award winning documentary filmmaker Lisa Russell! The documentary that will be screened is called Poder, A short narrative film based on the real life story of two indigenous girls in the highlands of Guatemala who challenged their elected officials to provide more services to adolescents in their community. Poder has not yet been released, so the McGill audience will be the first to see it! When: Tuesday March 25th, 2014 8pm-9:30pm Where: Leacock 232 Admission: $5 (includes screening + food!)
