Hey PALS! Your Lakehead Psi Chi chapter is very excited to announce that Dr. Scott O. Lilienfeld, an internationally renowned author and Professor of Psychology at Emory University, will be delivering two seminars on October 24th as a part of Psi Chis Invited Speaker Series. Dr. Lilienfeld has written many extremely influential peer reviewed articles, intro-psych textbooks, pop-psychology texts, and more. He has been awarded a number of very prestigious internationally recognized awards for his important work in the field. Many of you are likely very familiar with his works. We are honoured to be able to host Dr. Lilienfeld, and hope that you will join us in welcoming him at one or both of these upcoming seminars. Please see the attached posters for information on each of the upcoming talks. The first seminar (2:00pm - 3:30pm, UC1017), entitled Behind the Mask: The Search for the Controversial Successful Psychopath will be semi-private in nature as a limited number of tickets will be sold for a nominal fee of $10.00 (Psi Chi members will be admitted free of charge). The second (5:00pm - 6:30pm, ATAC 1003), entitled Science and Pseudoscience in Everyday Life: A Field Guide to Evaluating Extraordinary Claims will be open to everyone (university and general public) with no associated fees.
