The DEERFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS Board of Healths decision on a Kinder-Morgans proposed pipeline thru their locale. Wow. Check this out: (and I quote....) Kinder-Morgan chose to ignore all facts introduced into the record of the Board of Health hearing, Sept. 9, 2014... Kinder-Morgans subsidiary in California was convicted of six felony counts regarding [the tragic deaths of five people]... The Deerfield Board of Health finds that a corporation convicted of felonies resulting in the tragic deaths of five people presents an unreasonable risk to the health and lives of the residents of Deerfield... Kinder-Morgans Safety Violations and Accidents... In Texas alone, from 2003 to 2014, Kinder-Morgan experienced 36 significant incidents resulting in fatalities or hospitalization, fires, explosions or spills... The Deerfield Board of Health hereby finds that allowing a corporation known to have acted with such willful disregard for regulations enacted... would present unreasonable risk to the health and lives of the residents of Deerfield. Kinder-Morgans operations in Portland, Oregon have been home to pollution, law-breaking, and even bribery. The FBI determined that between 1997 and 2001, Kinder-Morgan systematically scammed some of its customers, including the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), a publicly-owned provider of electricity... It goes on and on with THEFT OF COAL, E.P.A. FINE OF $613K for violating the CLEAN AIR ACT, FALSIFYING PERMIT APPLICATIONS, CONTROL EQUIPMENT NOT OPERATED OR MAINTAINED PROPERLY... It goes to state that currently Kinder-Morgan is under investigation by the EPA for Federal Renewable Fuels Standards violations, including falsifying documents. This is just the tip of the iceberg. These people are not just arrogant profiteers, they are bonafide CRIMINALS. And we are letting them DO THIS ... to our land, our country, our political system, our democratic rights? Who wrote this script anyway?
