Hey Purple Peeps! GO HAWKS!! Im one of those old birds who remember when professional football came to Seattle. It was 1976 and I just was given one of the most coveted tickets to freedom... a drivers license! Wow, I just dated myself... not that theres anything wrong with that! Now flash forward 38 years to 2014 and The Seattle Seahawks are a young, brash, dominant team on the cusp of reaching the rarified air of Super Bowl Champs! I know, its just football - wait, what? Its certainly much more than that. Its a rallying of a huge contingent of ardent fans and bandwagoners encompassing all of the Pacific Northwest, B.C. and far reaching, exotic places such as New Jersey! Lets have a Pre-Funk Super Bowl Soiree at The Purple Space, YEA?- Next Wednesday night, January 29, 6:30 - 9ish... 12th Man (and woman) Rally!! Were going to open some FANtastic wines from the Pacific NW (This was going to be an Italian themed event but, cmon now?) with a direct correlation to The Hawks! These will include wines such as a killer Pinot Noir from Oregons Hawks View Cellars & Twelve Winery, Indomitable Red from Woodinville, Long Shadows Pedestal from Walla Walla & and an exclusive red & white wine made just for this occasion - 12th Man white blend & Merlot which well have available to stock up on as a collectable, fun & affordable beverage for the big game! We have Chef Matthew Den Haan (who brought us that great prime rib feast in December) back to do up an Italian Feast and well also have, as always, some fab live music and general mirth!! Its just $30pp for club members / $40 non members & guests. Reservations required so shoot an email or give a buzz, put on your favorite Seahawks garb or just wear the colors and join in on the 12th Man/Woman Vino Rally! Cheers! Wick P.S.
