Hey Seacoast, When you think of “outrageous people,” who comes to mind? For most of us, probably a few celebrities and politicians, or maybe some artists or athletes. Jesus was (and still is) outrageous. He didn’t necessarily look strange and he didn’t stage bizarre stunts for attention. What made Jesus outrageous was what he said and how he lived. Have you ever come across a passage in the gospels and wondered, “Why would Jesus say something like that” or “What does THAT mean?” Some of the things Jesus said were confusing, some were outright offensive. We are in a series right now called Outrageous and we are going to spend several weeks studying some of the most challenging things Jesus said.
