Hey Since ORAS just came out and Ive decided on making a SandRoom(Sandstorm/Trick Room) team Ill post battle sets for Mega Steelix. Ill most likely do more ORAS Mega Pokemon competitive sets later on. Then Ill start asking for votes from you guys for the next Pokemon. Key: * = IVs dont matter for this stat HP/Attack/Defense/Sp. Attack/Sp. Defense/Speed Steelix @ Steelixite Base Stats: 75/ 125/ 230/ 55/ 95/ 30 Ability: Sturdy(Mega: Sand Force) Nature: Sassy (+Sp. Def, - Spd) IVs: 31/31/31/ * /31/0 EVs: 252 HP, 252 Sp. Def, 4 Def(or Atk) Moveset: -Sandstorm/ Earthquake -Stone Edge/ Rock Slide -Gyro Ball -Curse Aaah Mega Steelix, or shall I say, Shuckle 2.0. A Shuckle with just as much defense, MUCH higher HP, and significantly lower Special defense (though still on the pretty bulky side) needs absolutely no investment in its defense to be ridiculously bulky on the physical side. So after stating that, full HP and special defensive investment needs to be made on Mega Steelix to make it a bulk monster and the bane of your opponent after gaining base 30 special defense after Mega Evolution. 0 IV Speed is the most important thing to have for a Trick Room team. Mega Steelix is the perfect candidate for Trick Room with its VERY slow base 30 speed. Curse will make it even slower and also boost its Gyro Ball (Lowering speed more while raising Attack with Curse boosts Gyro Ball by A TON). Stone Edge to cover pokemon like Talonflame or Skarmory(which walls you out completely if you have Earthquake), and to make sure you can hit a rotom for a good amount of damage. Sandstorm will activate Steelixs Sand Force ability which boost its attack as well. Sandstorm can be changed if you already have alot of pokemon to set up the sand. After looking at Mega Steelix, I personally think that it will be a tough pokemon to beat, especially in a double battle team.
