Hey, Vancouver savvy Facebook contacts and fellow artists - any suggestions for art galleries that may be hip to my photography & paintings? Ill be in Vancouver next week for a day or two on chopper business, and while there I hoped to scope out the art terrain. My work is a moderately-offensively mildly-controversial social exposé utilizing photography, paintings, and a heavy exploration into deep gel treatments designed to create depth and vastness through a forced bokeh. For subject matter I utilize real life struggle on the streets, action figures & fashion dolls, and flavored with homoerótica - all to illuminate, contrast, and provoke internal dialogue intended to expand social conscience. Sgt. Sawyer located numerous concerning photographs in [Dean’s] collection...
