Hey, We are Mia and Stevie, We live on a small island surrounded by waves so we never get bored! We only live around the corner from each other, there is a really cool beach out the front of our houses, the surf isn’t really all that good at this beach, but it’s great for swimming and abalone diving in summer time (although last summer, 1 time, we got circled and chased out of the water by a huge stingray attracted by the abalone we had in our bags). Every Morning we see each other at the bus stop and decide where we are going to surf that night. In winter it gets really cold and our feet go numb the instant they touch the water, but our most favourite time is summer, when we get to spend long weekends and evenings at the beach, staying until dark with crystal clean warm water...and no thick wetsuits. We mainly surf but in our spare time we leave our boards on the beach and dive/explore the rock pools or take on (and get smashed by!) the roaring shore breaks! We are so lucky to have grown up by the water , on occasions we go up to the city to have some fun but usually by the afternoon we have had enough and want to get home to have a surf before dark. On the island we have many different breaks that work in different weather conditions, so we always have our eye on the weather forecasts for a great surfing opportunity to come up!
