Hey Yooooo, im going down to the LES tonite for one last look at Superchief Gallerys Summer Season Ultra Mega Group Show over at 9 Clinton street, before Culturefix closes up for good... Tonight is their/our last night. Its the final night of a really crazy run of shows, an 18 month sprint of 50 different exhibitions, frantic opening nights where id be feverishly smoking weed outside in a crowd of 75 friendly faces getting yelled at not to block the sidewalk, or ducking back in to do drunken laps through the bar, back gallery space, upstairs gallery space and back down again, seeing old friends and very pretty girls and hoping that someone got it all down for the record. (usually it was Mike Carrera) And now, its a wrap. So- at 8pm, wanna come out and get drunk? Lets drink til we fall over, its our last chance to do it at 9 Clinton street... That was a fun one, for sure. (Art pick ups are still good for tmrw, btw.)
