Hey all! Again, thanks for your interest in forming this group. I am in process of talking with Patriot Pin Ups to see about this becoming a chapter of their organization or at least learning from them about how to best support our Veterans with our own group here! I will be posting updates and please, I invite each of you to add ideas to how we can serve together. In the mean time, here is what I was thinking to kick things off. Early November - A get together for taking promotional photos for all you Pin up girls. We will need to figure location and logistics for who can do their own hair and make-up and who needs assistance from one of the other girls. I have A good amount of wardrobe that can be used but having your own patriotic outfit or two would be great for each girl. I will post links to where to buy vintage reproduction outfits soon. Post ideas and outfits too! We dont want 2 girls showing up in the same dress lol! NOVEMBER- Brainstorming ideas together. Maybe a few girls putting together a short USO style number or two lipsync or live if we have the talent and interest! youtube/watch?v=nqnZ1N1LmwE THANKSGIVING TIME- Visit St. Augustine Veterans Nursing home! VFW PARADE- The VFW guys walk in the St. Augustine Christmas Parade the first Saturday of December. I can talk to the VFW guys about the group walking along side the jeeps with the soldiers that cant walk the parade. That would look so cool with vintage dresses and maybe even vintage WAC outfits and USO style show float!
