Hey all! Its only TWO days until Evolution of a Love is released but I wanted to drop one song early - the first track I created for the album and the one that inspired the whole thing. Let me tell you the story behind it. When my girlfriend and I had just broken up, she created a silent video piece for her BFA thesis titled A(nother) Failed Attempt at Closure. The video featured the two of us and the description read: if an act of undressing a new lover creates a beginning, does the act of dressing an obsolete lover create closure? Performing in this was extremely emotional and it inspired me to create my own piece of the same title. This first song ultimately led to the concept of creating a series of songs to capture the entire evolution of our relationship and voila, Evolution of a Love was born.
