Hey all... especially those of you who have teens who drive. Please take a moment to read this story and then please tell your kids to never race the train or even think that they can beat the train at the crossing. There is a good chance they can make it, but there is also just as much of a chance that they will not. Most importantly, if in your travels you come across a railroad crossing that only has a stop sign... Do Not just roll across with out stopping. The stop signs are there to save your life, please look both ways before proceeding across the tracks. I brought the train in the following article from Fresno to Roseville today and only the stairs on one side of it were slightly bent. However the automobile was demolished, crumpled like a tin can... it is amazing any one survived. Now in the aftermath, there are 7 families who are dealing with this... the 5 families of the passengers in the car and the 2 families of my fellow employees who were doing their job. My co-workers will get a few days off in which to compose themselves before they have to return to work and risk seeing it again. The other families will forever grieve and ask why.
