Hey all, last night a few of us -- 3 NBPOC and 1 Black artist -- spent some time collecting all the art we’ve seen and created against anti-Black police violence. We were thinking of putting it on a tumblr with artists’ consent, contact info, and downloadable images so that people on the ground can use them in protests, social media, the streets, and the mass movement toward ending anti-Black police brutality. We wanted to release a call to artists to make graphics against police violence towards Black people to generate and encourage more art. We are acknowledging that it’s just a few of us, predominantly non-Black artists of color, and we feel what we did is just a seed of a potential resource for radical Black activist communities. We’re putting out a small call now to check with Black folks that we’re not producing something that already exists or doing something that’s unneeded or goes against Black communities’ objectives.
