Hey, all, sorry for the vaguebooking earlier. Heres whats going on: I woke up early this morning to take Baldr to the vet for surgery (before you ask, hes doing fine, just a minor tumor removal). I found Contessina, covered in blood at the floor of her cage, weak and pale. I called up the vet and told them I was bringing two rats in instead of the one, and I packed up the babies and walked to the car. I got to the exact location Id parked my car, and it wasnt there. Gone, nothing, no trace. Well, Contessina was bleeding, so I had to shelve that issue and get to the vet via taxi. Once I got to the vet, I was told that the tumor in her ear had become infected, despite my best efforts, and burst. The vet advised me that this would just keep happening no matter how many times I took here there and got her cleaned back up. I had to put her to sleep. It was absolute agony. She was my heart-rat, my dearest, deepest bond, and I had to say goodbye to her several weeks before I thought I would. Im still reeling from it emotionally. This afternoon, my father and I got in contact with the CPD. They have no record of having towed my vehicle, so it looks like my car was definitely stolen. A report has been filed with both the police and the insurance company. Anyway, it has been the Worst Day Ever. And no, I really, really dont want to talk about it, but prayers or good vibes would be appreciated. So would help with the unexpected vet bills and taxi bills, if you find it in your heart to do so. Ive been hit hard emotionally and financially today, and Im ready for tomorrow.
