Hey all you Salem Saturday Market customers! Well be offering Pork Chop Grab Bags tomorrow at the market. What are those you ask? They will be pre-bagged, on sale pork chops offered at 30% off our regular price. Why are they on sale you ask? Because they are aging out which means that they were cut and wrapped a while ago and they really should be getting eaten soon. (so what I am saying here is do not buy 100 lbs and figure youll eat them for the next year.. Get some, cook em up and enjoy!!) Are they still good, you ask? Yep, they are still good. They have been vacuum packed and the seals are intact. Not only that, but we eat them regularly and have been selling them to customers regularly during our recent freezer clean out sales and everyone still comes back and says BEST PORK CHOPS EVER! So we are confident in the quality. :-) What kinds of chops will be in the bags, you ask? We have a variety of chops that need to move along. Some are 1 bone in chops, some are 1/2 bone in chops, and some are 1/2 boneless chops. All are yummy. We will not be screening the chops before they go into the bag, we are just grabbing and packing. What is screening you ask? That is when you (or me) digs around trying to find a specific type of chops. You know.. more fat, or less fat; closer to the front of the loin or closer to the back, center cut vs end cut. rib chops vs loin chop vs unspecified chop.. That sort of thing.. (photo attached as a semi illustration). Just remember, this is a grab bag sale!! How many chops will be in the bag? Well have bags packed for 2 diners or 4 diners. Meaning that well have the chops grouped by 2s.. So if you buy a bag from 2, it may have 2 1 chops and 2 1/2 chops.. A bag for 4 will have 4 of each type. Various bags will have various weights. So you can ask for a 2 lb bag or a 3 lb bag or bigger. or buy 2 bags if you need more. or something like that. Make sense? Ok.. that is about it from me. I have to run myself to the butchers place to pick up more PORK!! We will have uncured (celery cured) Cottage Bacon back in stock tomorrow and hopefully some new sausages. Smoked Bockwurst.. What are Bockwurst you ask? They are totally awesome. Thing bratwurst with a bit of milk and egg added to the mix for extra flavor and richness. Trust us, they are awesome... (and I sure hope they are ready to be picked up. now that I have you all excited about them). As always pre-orders are welcome and encouraged.. and YES you can pre-order a Pork Chop Grab bag or two. We will have limited numbers of the grab bags so get there early and get them while you can! (or pre-order one now!)
