Hey everybody, Last Friday, Bonnie Crombie (Mississauga Mayor-elect) made a speech at the Woodlands Commencement Ceremony. I wasnt at Commencement... I wish I was there to have heard this nonsense myself, but at the same time, I dont, because I can only imagine the outburst/silent and appalled reaction that I would have had. At Commencement, were supposed to applaud our graduates; its a celebration of their achievements. However, Bonnie Crombie made several distasteful comments and implications in her speech, which was very disrespectful and uncalled for. Crombie made a negative comment towards Arts Degrees. Although, the majority of us arent taking her seriously (because, really, who is she to belittle our goals), as a public figure, she cant voice her personal opinions so inappropriately and unprofessionally.
