Hey everybody! So Bianca and I are in the thick of a contest she’s a finalist in. You may have seen the event invite already. I know your time is valuable, so I’ll get right to the point. Right now, Bianca is currently in 4th place in an ongoing national contest called the Cricut I Made It contest. She won’t be able to win this without votes like yours. Since we don’t have the social media connections some of the other leading contestants have, we’re appealing to all our friends to vote for her entry in the contest. Voting started yesterday and you can vote once daily until the contest ends of the 26th. [If you’d like some background on this contest and our family’s circumstances, see the paragraph at the end of this message.] SO, HOW CAN YOU HELP? We’re looking for as many people as possible to do the following: 1. Vote Simply click on this link (cricut-contest/p/marisol-bianca-martinez) to reach Bianca’s entry page. Scroll down to the bottom of the page where you can click on the green “VOTE FOR THIS FINALIST” button on the left side of the page. (The site isn’t going to ask for any personal information whatsoever. Just click the green button and that’s it!) 2. Share After voting, you’ll see immediately to the right of the green button a section to share Bianca’s finalist page on social media. You can share on Facebook, tweet via Twitter, or post to Google+. If you have an Instagram account, show your followers some love too! You can simply copy and paste the link to her page to share (again that’s cricut-contest/p/marisol-bianca-martinez). 3. Repeat The contest limits entries to one per person per day. So make sure you revisit her page and vote daily through the 26th of October. Like I said, she’s in 4th now, so we need all the votes we can get! 4. Join RSVP to her voting event on Facebook here: https://facebook/events/1548667818700597 Click “Join” on the right hand side of the page. This will allow you to receive updates on Bianca’s progress and hopefully will also help you to remember to vote every day. 5. Invite! This is quite possibly the most important step next to voting. You can invite your friends to “attend” the event by clicking on the “Invite” button. In the drop down menu, you can select the “Choose Friends” option and choose whichever friends you feel are appropriate to invite. We’re not asking anyone to spam their friends with Facebook event invitations. But definitely do what you feel comfortable with. Personally, I invited all of my Facebook friends under the amazing husband obligation clause of my marriage contract. All joking aside, if you look at the other contestants, Bianca’s entry really deserves to win. God bless you for your helping me help Bianca and our little family! Steve BACKGROUND Here’s a little background which you can skip if you’re already involved in voting daily. Bianca has been making party decorations for some time now which she sells online. Along with her natural born talent, she uses a cutting machine to make her items called the Cricut Explore. Cricut cutters are fairly popular tools in the arts and crafts scene. Cricut is holding a national contest that began recently for which she was chosen by judges as a top 50 finalist. The 1st place prize includes, among other things, an I Made It! line of products that she’ll be able to design and sell through Cricut’s website. And this is one of the main reasons that we’re so passionate about this contest. The income a line that like could potentially generate could help supplement our budget. We’re all struggling to some extent, most of us financially. And we’re no different. But we’re hoping to take full advantage of this amazing opportunity to earn a better life for us and our sweet son who just started school.
