Hey everybody...Veejay Alan back with you tonight, as promised....if we went back in time, 5 years, 10 years,20 years,30 years,even 40 years or longer.....The Jerry Lewis muscular Dystrophy telethon would be starting its 21 and a half hour programming right now,,,,Instead somewhere there is some variety show called "Show of Strength Concert" Its is whats left of what we all grew up with......3 years ago after helping to raise over 2 Billion Dollars...jerry lewis was forced to retire...no fanfare,no farewell, no big tribute.....just basically told his show didnt cut it in this ADD world we live in......Well tonight Im going to show some clips from all the years.....I know when I was young I would sneak downstairs when everyone was asleep and watch the telethon...i found it soothing and comforting that it was there every year......So I urge everyone to donate whatever you can to MDA this weekend...But when you do, remember that if it wasnt for Jerry Lewis...Most people wouldnt know what Muscular Dystrophy and its array of muscle diseases are........
