Hey everybody! You guys are all super funny and I want you to take the next step to becoming headliners so I am putting together a show built with local comedians who have a SOLID 20 minutes of material. I am hoping eventually to include a lot of comedians, but we will start with a small crew. The idea is to have a solid 1.5 hour show that we can tour around with featuring local comics each performing 20 minutes. I would like to have a lot of comics on the potential roster so we can do frequent performances (sometimes in the same venue) without repeating the same comics over and over. This will be a paying show, with an even split for comics (divided equally among the performers with one extra equal part going to me for organizing and promoting). For this reason, this will be an elite group and you must pass an audition to become a part of it. Here is how to be a part of the group: contact me to headline a Thursday show. You need to be able to do 20 minutes at dakodas with only minimal notes. And you need to be able to kill for 20, not sorta or kinda....real top level shit. If you can do this and really do it well, I will include you in the group. If you arent ready yet, I will tell you what I (I will confer with other comics) think you need to improve and you can try again later. If you dont have twenty minutes yet, obviously this can be a realistic goal for you to work toward. 20 minutes is relatively new for most of us, myself included, but I think it is manageable.
