Hey everybody, chris has asked me to throw some information out to you guys regarding the dyno. im one of the owners of it, so i wanted to let you know what to expect. the dyno is a dynojet 224XLc dyno with an eddie current load controller. if anybody here has dynod their rig with an inertia dyno compared to a load controlled dyno, its all the difference in the world. the load control is a huge electro magnet on the side of the trailer that we use to manually make the drum heavier thus making your truck work harder to spin the drum, getting your boost pressure up to close to where you see it on the road. our number on our dyno will be higher than an inrertia dyno just because we can get you almost full potential out of your turbos. AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS-- if you have messed with your shift points at all through a tuner, we may** not be able to get a good reading. we need to be able to take the run through one gear, and if it downshifts to another gear, the run is no good. REV LIMITERS - please please please make sure you do not have a rev / speed limiter set on your truck before it is on the dyno. unfortunately, if you do not and we run your truck, there is no refund for that. if you have paid through the paypal to connecticut diesels, then you can try to fix the limiter and go to the back of the line. CORRECTION FACTORS - we use SAE correction factors. if you have dynod your rig before and went to shop that has used STD, the number we give you will not match that. STD has very little mathmatical data to backup their horsepower number. SAE is used by most every major dyno shop i know of. the difference is less than 3 percent though. SPRAY -- by all means. spray it. WE WILL NOT WAIT FOR YOUR NOS TO WARM BACK UP THOUGH. if you have a bottle warmer, awesome. if you want to only spray one run, awesome. just trying to conserve time. if anybody has PROPANE injection, we can spray that too, just understand propane is meant for MPG not HP. your number will more than likely go down on propane injection. DUALLYS - stock wheels and tires we can sneak you on. wheel spacers, or wide tires, that left outside rear has to come off. sorry for inconveniences. STANCE -- you guys know who you are. if you have a crazy offset, or 15 inch wide tires etc etc etc, try to bring a set of stock wheels and tires for the back end. if your tire hangs off the side of the roller too much, it will start to gouge the tire when we ratchet it down, and we will turn you away. not to be assholes, but to preserve your trucks. we know how much money goes into everything, and were not in the business of breaking other peoples things. CAN I DRIVE MY OWN TRUCK? -- sure. just not on our dyno. we can not take the liability of somebody driving their own truck. THIS WILL NOT CHANGE, NO YOU CAN NOT PAY EXTRA TO DRIVE YOUR OWN TRUCK. CAN I RIDE IN THE TRUCK WHILE ITS BEING DYNOD? - absolutely. MINOR TUNING - if you have a 5 position switch in the cab and want to switch it between runs, we will. turning water/meth on and off, cool. spraying nos / propane, cool. if you have to hook something into the OBD2 port or change tunes yourself, NO. minor minor minor. if you have any questions guys feel free to comment. if you want to see some of the videos, check out our page on facebook FLY PERFORMANCE INNOVATIONS theres a few diesel trucks on there... around the october and end of june area.... that will explain the load controller better... ;) take care guys, see yall in june.
